Thinking Of Linking is an early Lennon/McCartney original. The Beatles performed it live from 1957 to 1959. There are three existing recordings of the song by The Beatles, none of which are from this era. The first is from the Get Back sessions, January 3rd, 1969. The third known version (and most recent known to exist) is Paul, George, and Ringo jamming on 23 June 1994 for The Beatles Anthology.

Paul was saying this was inspired by an ad for Link furniture but Thinking of Linking he wrote. Much like Good Morning Good Morning was inspired by John seeing a tv ad for Corn Flakes with a jingle that went "Good morning! Good morning! The best to you each morning..."
